I recently attended Resolution's Regional Liaison Committee & National Committee meeting in London.

For those who don't know, Resolution is a national body with a membership of over 6,500 family lawyers and professionals.  As a member of Resolution is means we're committed to a constructive resolution to all family disputes.  Members follow a Code of Practice that promotes a non confrontational approach to family problems.  As members, we encourage solutions that look at needs of the whole family, in particular what's best for the children and this is of huge benefit to our clients.

One of the issues that Resolution are lobbying with the Government at the moment, is that of a "no fault" divorce.  It's just one of the issues close to our hearts because we appreciate how difficult it can be for clients starting a divorce, which at present often has to be on the basis of their spouse's behaviour.

Resolution's website also has a lot of helpful information - details can be found here: http://www.resolution.org.uk/information/
