An interesting idea, as not all divorces are bad. Dealing with the end of a marriage or relationship in a positive way surely improves the chances of the next chapter of your life being happier?
In my experience those who manage to resolve matters using mediation, collaborative law or reaching an agreement through negotiation rather than litigation find the process much less stressful, but I have yet to hear of a client having a party!
But what if, instead, people actually saw the event for what it is: a first step into a significantly better life, because you're no longer in something that one or both people aren't happy in? Wouldn't that warrant a party, or at least a really good dessert?
