A number of the clients that I meet tell me that one of the reasons they believe their relationship has broken down because they and their partner or spouse no longer socialise together.

This university study suggests that watching tv and films together can help to compensate for that lack of socialising outside of the house.  It makes sense that taking time to enjoy an evening in with a partner is going to help to improve the quality of the relationship.
