I was at court recently for the final hearing of a case in which we successfully represented a father who had moved from the UK, where he and his family had been living for some years, back to their home country and wished for his children to move to join him.

This recent case from the Court of Appeal seeks to clarify how cases like this should be dealt with. Each proposal for the child should be carefully judged on its implications for the child's welfare, to determine which option is in the child's best interests.
