I very much agree with the former President of the Family Division, Lady Elizabeth Butler-Sloss who has recently commented on the frustrations brought about by resident parents not complying with orders in relation to their children. One suggestion is that the resident parent has to do community service if they act in breach of such an order.

Ideally parents who have separated will reach an agreement in relation to their children. However, sadly this is not always possible in which case, if they have to go to court, they need to know that any order the judge makes will be complied with. It makes a mockery of a court order if when it is breached, there are no consequences.
