Last week ended on a very busy note. I am on the local Oxford Resolution Committee and assisted with our annual event. This year it was held at the Randolph and it’s a fantastic opportunity for local family lawyers, barristers and other family law professionals to get together and network.
In case you didn’t know, Resolution is a national committee of some 6,500 members, who are family lawyers and other professionals committed to the constructive resolution of family disputes. Knowing who is representing your client’s ex-partner, can be extremely helpful when working on cases.
Members follow a code of practice that promotes a non-confrontational approach to family problems. They encourage solutions that take on board the needs of the whole family – and in particular what’s best for their children.
The code of practice which members abide by promotes a sensitive, constructive and cost-effective approach to family law, with the focus of reaching an agreement between the parties.
All our family lawyers are members of Resolution and can advise on all aspects following the breakdown of relationships.
